Discovery Holiday Parks – Lake Bonney (formerly Lake Bonney Holiday Park) in the SA Riverland town of Barmera is a perfect year round holiday destination.  Located 2 and a half hours from Adelaide, this park is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Berri, and less than 30 minutes from the nearby towns of Renmark and Loxton.  Rich in natural beauty, the SA Riverland offers a vast array of attractions and activities for the whole family.

Fed from the majestic Murray River via the Chambers Creek Wetlands, the shallow, fresh water of Lake Bonney is ideal for family-friendly swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, skiing and jet skiing.  With over 17 National Parks in the region there are excellent walking and hiking trails with vantage spots to watch the native birds and wildlife, or visit the Banrock Wine and Wetlands Centre to witness conservation in action. The more adventurous can take a 4WD adventure or try their luck at landing a Murray Cod.   For an active family day out, visit the Cobdogla Irrigation and Steam Museum, or head to Monash Adventure Park (free entry) only 10 minutes away.  As home to the SA Country Music Festival Awards, Barmera plays host to a range of festivals throughout the year.
